Aikido
Hiroshi TAda Sensei

I still remember the first time he called me as an uke. July 1980, I was a very young Shodan and Sensei would come to the Scuola Centrale to teach a few lessons before going to Coverciano for the Summer School. I was petrified, my legs shaking. Sensei did a projection technique and I fell badly.
I was surprised that he asked me if I had hurt myself. Since then I have had the luck and the honour to be his uke many times during seminars. I believe that being an uke and “feeling” the technique is a very important aspect when learning Aikido.
As I have said earlier I have travelled extensively, but I have never encountered an other teacher who plans the teaching of Aikido as well as Tada Sensei. He was the blessing to the Aikikai d’Italia.
